So, this Friday, Saturday and Monday nights, come to Riverton High School to see the Utah Premiere of the Broadway musical Smile. 25 RHS Music, Dance, Theatre students are performing this show at 7:00pm (with me, getting carpal tunnel, accompanying them).
It's a great show that takes you behind the scenes of the 1985 Young American Miss Beauty Pageant. The songs (which are great and will get stuck in your head) are by Marvin Hamlisch (A Chorus Line) and Howard Ashman (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors). Seating is limited to 150 so I know we'll be turning people away. Come see this fun and touching show! And buy candy at intermission. Drama club needs your money (since no one is voting for us on the KUTV contest).
