What We've Been Up To

So after arriving home from Disneyland, I've done the following:

  • Directed a successful (and sold out on closing night) production of Back to the 80's at Riverton High School.

  • Sent out (with the help of others) 150 invitations to our choir teacher's retirement party where I ordered 500 desserts for people to eat.

  • After our house in Lehi sold in 13 days, Jackie and I spent a Saturday looking at 8 homes. We loved a lot of them, put an offer on one, got accepted in the afternoon, they denied that night. We put an offer on our backup house (in Riverton), they countered, we countered, they accepted, and on May 27th (the same day as the drama club banquet at the high school) we close on the house we're selling and the house we're buying.

  • Interviewed 12 people for both the open choir and drama position at Riverton High School.

  • Prepared to hold auditions for our school musical next year, Les Miserables. The show is so difficult, I'm casting in the Spring so the leads can prepare themselves for the show.

  • Started reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

  • Helped coach our Theatre 4 students in their student directed plays performing tonight and Monday.

  • Gone to Webelos to help them get their Showman badge.

  • Finished the last season of Burn Notice.

  • Getting excited for Glee and the movie musical Nine.

  • Watched Real Housewives of NYC, Lost, The Office, 30 Rock, Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother. We are really behind on Netflix.

  • Celebrated Mother's Day by making Jackie breakfast in bed with Ellis and Millie giving cards, flowers and fruit filled chocolates from See's.
  • Begun organizing our NYC 2010 Trip (June 8-14th). It's gonna be great! Come with us.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies has been on my list--you'll have to tell me how it goes.

You are busy!

Yes - and please tell me how you would explain to your 4 and 2 year old the cover for pride and prejudice zombies, which Clin enjoys displaying proudly on his bedside table.
